In your position as Field Sales you will be on the road more than 50 % of your time visiting end customers mainly in North/Central Germany, dealers and OE2 customers. You will identify new business opportunities and understand where our client’s competitors are represented. Together with your manager you will make a plan for your region

Who are they?

Yokohama Alliance Tire Europe (Y-ATE) is a fully owned subsidiary of The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. They offer three brands to their Off Highway customer base: Alliance, Galaxy and Primex. All three brands are marketed globally within the ATG (Alliance Tire Group), which is an independent division of the Y-OHT organisation. They are an ambitious, fast growing and internationally oriented organization. Their team consists of internal, highly qualified professionals with a focus on sales and business development.

In Europe, they are a truly international team operating both from head-quarters in Amsterdam as well as national sales teams. Their DNA is growth, they have been the fastest growing off- highway tire manufacturer for the last decade, with a growth plan to make themselves the largest OHT company in the tire industry. They are expanding into new segments and truly believe in the power of global manufacturing excellence delivered through local sales organizations.

What will you do?

You will be responsible for further establishment and growth of their brands in the region, build on their existing presence/ portfolio in the construction and agricultural segments. You will take responsibility for finding, developing and managing assigned accounts. You will work in alignment with the plan of the Country Manager. Willingness to support other regions from time to time if needed.

Detailed Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with OE2 customers/ distributors/tire dealers of their distribution partners and their key customers in assigned territory.
  • Drive sales growth and increase market penetration via distribution in assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities with OEM2 (develop and grow sales pipeline).
  • Act as main point of contact for partners sales team and their customers, support their needs and address any concerns/solve problems.
  • Conduct/support training for distribution partners and their customers, helping them understand product features, and sales tactics to improve their sales capabilities and grow their business.
  • Monitor distributor sales performance, identify and communicate trends, support / arrange corrective actions(s) when needed.
  • Manage special pricing requests / price lists.
  • Support launch of new products in territory and work with product management to develop new products to close gaps in portfolio for distributors in territory.
  • Support and develop promotional campaigns & events, sales strategies, and marketing efforts to drive sales.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts to management and conduct market analysis in assigned area sales data to ensure alignment with targets and KPI’s.
  • Track competitor activities to keep up-to-date with market trends. Report trends and requirements to product management.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the tire portfolio and be able to effectively communicate product benefits.
  • Have knowledge of OHT applications, ideally agri, mining and construction.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in any related commercial or technical field.
  • Relevant experience – Currently working with OHT tires or agri/industrial machinery.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ sales experience in Germany.
  • Relevant experience in an international environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and good communication skills.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and a result-oriented mentality.
  • Enthusiastic and positive thinking; think in solutions, not in problems.
  • Good business analysis and excel skills.
  • Able to communicate in English & German (an additional European language is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region for more than 50% of the time (3/4 days per week).
  • You are based in North/Central Germany already.
