Job Title: Head of Sales, Germany
Location: Unterföhring (Munich) Office + Working from home (Hybrid)

Introduction:
Are you ready to become part of a growing company and spearhead their sales growth? Our client is seeking a dynamic, sales-driven leader who can be a strong anchor for their team in Germany. This individual should lead from the front, bringing the vision and determination needed to develop highperformance sales strategies. They will also lead by example and actively engage with the team to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Our client has a successful sales playbook in place in the US, UK and Italian markets. The ideal candidate will adapt this playbook to thrive in the German market, focusing on key sectors and leveraging telesales as a primary channel.
The playbook emphasizes high-volume outbound selling across several customer types:
- Smaller, single site businesses – these are at the core of our client’s business. High volume, high frequency, low value sales which underpin the delivery of their budget. They require tenacity, energy and rigour in setting, tracking and delivering the required pre-sales KPIs for delivery.
- Mid-market sales – these are typically bigger organisations, or a group of individual sites which buy our client’s licenses via one group contract. These tend to be higher value sales and lower in volume than single site sales, but more frequent than key account deals
- Key Account/Enterprise sales – the sales cycle is longer; deals are less frequent but of much higher value. These deals require more of a relationship-led, multi-contact approach.

They work hard to educate organisations about the importance of respecting copyright, and pride themselves in being a key player in the entertainment and intellectual
property ecosystem.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, with a modern office in Munich, Germany, our client proudly employs a global workforce of more than 200 individuals. They are currently looking for a motivated Sales Leader to build and nurture their team in Germany, while developing, optimizing, and monitoring the German sales engine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the German sales team ensuring that they meet their targets and KPIs.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth within the team.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring continuous development and motivation of team members.
- Create, develop and optimise the German outbound sales engine.
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine sales strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on sales data and market analysis.
Key Attributes:
- You will be an experienced sales leader in fast-growth sales environments, preferably in B2B telesales.
- An ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans based on trends and data.
- You are fluent in German at a professional/native level and possess strong English language skills.
- You will be experienced in outbound sales and know the pre-sales KPIs required to drive high volume, lowvalue sales as well as larger, key account deals.
- You will have excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. In the office you will be an inspiring, confident, empathetic and educating leader. People will want to be in the office so that they can learn from you.
- You foster a collaborative team environment and use direct coaching to help the team deliver the necessary KPIs.
- You have a natural resilience and don’t let sales objections get in the way of growth.
- You will have a data-informed leadership style.
- You will be comfortable developing a plan to exceed business goals, as well as rolling your sleeves up behind delivery.
- You lead from the front.
- Thoughtful, intelligent and able to speak articulately about the technical aspects of our client’s business.
- You leverage your humility (be low ego) and have high levels of credibility, integrity and gravitas.
- You will have very strong communication skills and are able to represent our client both internally and externally at Board and Executive team level.
- Some experience in IP licensing and/or entertainment industry would be a nice to have.
