Position Title: Area Sales Manager, Italy
Location: Remote, North Italy
Reports To: CCO

Our client is an international producer of industrial circular saw blades for metal applications. Their headquarters is based in The Netherlands and their business obtains a rich history which started all the way back in 1947. With their unique combination of HSS, TCT and segmental saw blades, they are able to serve customers in the oil and gas, automotive, mechanical engineering and construction industries. In total, they have 14 sales and service locations and 4 production locations. The products are mainly exported and sold up to 80 countries worldwide. To strengthen our client’s Italian team, they are looking for a dedicated Sales hunter in Northern Italy.

What will you do:

  • Developing new business relationships in line with our clients strategy in order to generate growth, revenue and improve profitability
  • Attending to the needs of your existing customers and increasing business opportunities through various routes to markets
  • Developing your own local sales strategy, setting targets by compiling and analyzing sales figures and collecting customer feedback and market research. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer in the Netherlands
  • Dealing directly with customer accounts and building long term relationships with major customers
  • Keeping an overview of market relevant information which will help you identify new customers, their needs and help keep our client competitive
  • You receive orders from their clients directly or re-direct customers to the insides sales office HQ in the Netherlands for ordering.
  • Contribute to the regular sales meeting with the team by sharing insights, results and contributing to the team spirit

Here’s what you bring:

  • 3-8 years’ experience in a commercial role. A background in the Steel industry is a huge plus
  • Experience or knowledge of the grinding and/or forging and/or tube an/or metal tools market
  • A proactive, eager and naturally results driven professional
  • You speak fluent Italian and English
  • Multi-tasker who knows how to manage their time efficiently
  • You are a trustworthy, natural communicator who knows how to communicate with C-level executives on hand and easily with operators as well.
  • You build long term trust relationships with clients
  • You are a real hunter for leads and opportunities
  • You have knowledge of sales techniques and you have good negotiation skills;
  • You have a full driving license
  • Able to travel internationally when required
