Role: Country Sales Manager (future Regional EU Sales Manager)

Location: Amsterdam South East

Reporting to: Vice President, Sales

Working situation: 1 day per week from home

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Country Sales Manager based in Amsterdam. Are you an entrepreneurial leader with a keen eye for identifying sales opportunities? Our client – is an ambitious, fast growing and internationally oriented organization. They are known for being the fastest growing off highway tire manufacturer for the last decade. Their team consists of highly qualified professionals with a focus on sales and business development. In your position as Country Sales Manager, you will be working alongside the Vice President of Sales for 6 months, learning the ropes, before you take over a complete the role of Regional Sales Manager where you will be responsible for an entire region in Europe with Country Managers reporting in to you. This role requires you to travel around 50% of the time but in the beginning, you will be more focused on the transition and on boarding into the Regional Sales Manager role. This newly created role is an opportunity to further bolster their exceptional European Sales team, as part of their strategy to continue driving growth and success.

What will you do? For the first six months, you will work closely with the Vice President to gain comprehensive knowledge of the region, including front-end and back-end operations, customer engagement, market opportunities, competitive landscape, and team dynamics. Following this period, you are expected to independently manage a designated area within the region. The specific European region will be determined after this initial phase. You will contribute to the overall growth of the organization by identifying and implementing a strategy to penetrate key accounts in the Region. Also, whilst being responsible for nurturing and strengthening relationships with the existing distributor/channels together with the team.

Detailed Role Responsibilities:

  • Learn detailed aspects of the Regional Sales role during the 6 month on boarding phase
  • Manage large and key customers (distributors) within existing customer base
  • Manage a team after 6 months consisting of Country Managers in various European countrie
  • Formulate and execute strategies to meet and exceed financial targets Identify prospects and new channel partners to further enhance the distribution channel
  • Prepare sales forecasts, establishing sales goals for the region and communicating these to the marketing and sales teams
  • Accountable to deliver sales revenue targets for different product lines Build strong relationships with the distributors/tire dealers to improve revenues and acquiring customers
  • Act as an ambassador and representative to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships for them
  • Operate within a highly international set- up, with factories overseas and large parts of the organizations spread out over Europe and Internationally
  • Able to do accurate forecasting and hold P&L responsibility
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities or product, packaging, and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors
  • Ensure total satisfaction through the life cycle of all relationships

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in any related commercial or technical field
  • Relevant experience; a minimum of 8 to 15 years’ sales experience (European experience is a plus)
  • Experience in selling industrial consumable products, ideally within the replacement market
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to effectively manage and interpret data
  • Experience in an international environment, or as a distributor is a pre
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • A high degree of self-motivation and a result-oriented mentality
  • Enthusiastic and positive thinking; think in solutions, not in problems
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Able to communicate in English (an additional European language is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region for more than 50% of the time
  • You are based in The Netherlands
