Introduction

Our client, a global leader in compact cranes and innovative tracked carriers based in the Netherlands, is expanding. We are looking for a high-energy, commercially driven Area Sales Manager (UK, Ireland & Australia) to expand their presence and build strong, high-performing dealer networks across these key international markets.

In this high-impact, high-autonomy role, you won't just be selling machinery; you'll be building a powerful, long-term dealer network, representing cutting-edge Dutch engineering in glazing, industrial construction, rental, and specialized lifting sectors. Armed with your commercial drive, technical fluency, and a hands-on approach (including live product demos), you will serve as the primary face of our client across the UK, Ireland, and Australia.

If you thrive on travel (up to 60%), love building genuine, loyal B2B relationships, and want to turn high potential territories into major revenue drivers, this is your opportunity to shape the future of compact lifting power. You will join a commercial team of 5 other Area Sales Managers located across Europe and report directly into the Sales Director who is based at headquarters in the Netherlands.

Your tasks

  • Building a dealer network from scratch: You proactively build new partnerships with dealers across your region and train them on the compact/mini cranes, spider cranes, and tracked carriers.
  • You maintain existing relationships: You maintain relationships and are responsible for the key accounts.
  • Seizing market opportunities: You analyze trends and translate them into concrete sales strategies.
  • Advice and support: You help dealers with product selection, quotations, and demonstrations.
  • International cooperation: You travel regularly to dealers and customers across your assigned region.
  • Marketing and product introductions: You introduce new products, translate technical information into commercial content, and support marketing campaigns.

You bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, preferably in International Business, Commercial Economics, or Engineering.
  • Experience in B2B capital equipment, heavy machinery, vehicle construction, or the construction/lifting industry. Understanding how cranes, hydraulics, or electric carriers operate is a major plus.
  • Proven track record in field sales, territory management, or account management.
  • The ability to act as the regional "face of our client," building trust with contractors and dealers.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 60% across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Australia.
  • Commercial skills, persuasiveness, and technical insight.
  • Hands-on mentality: you are not afraid of a demo or technical analysis.

They offer

  • Attractive salary package.
  • Company car equipped for regular territory travel.
  • Flexible work-from-home policy.
  • High level of autonomy with the opportunity to build a high-growth territory from scratch.
