About the role
In your position as Field Sales Manager you will be on the road more than 50% of your time, visiting end customers mainly in North and Central Germany, dealers and OE2 customers. You will identify new business opportunities and understand where our client's competitors are represented. Together with your manager you will make a plan for your region.

Yokohama Alliance Tire Europe (Y-ATE) is a fully owned subsidiary of The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. They offer three brands to their Off Highway customer base: Alliance, Galaxy and Primex. All three brands are marketed globally within the ATG (Alliance Tire Group), which is an independent division of the Y-OHT organisation. What will you do?
You will be responsible for the further establishment and growth of their brands in the region, building on their existing presence and portfolio in the construction and agricultural segments. You will take responsibility for finding, developing and managing assigned accounts. You will work in alignment with the plan of the Country Manager, with a willingness to support other regions from time to time if needed.
Detailed role responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with OE2 customers, distributors and tire dealers of their distribution partners, and their key customers in the assigned territory.
- Drive sales growth and increase market penetration via distribution in the assigned territory.
- Identify and develop business opportunities with OEM2 (develop and grow the sales pipeline).
- Act as the main point of contact for partner sales teams and their customers, supporting their needs and addressing any concerns or solving problems.
- Conduct and support training for distribution partners and their customers, helping them understand product features and sales tactics to improve their sales capabilities and grow their business.
- Monitor distributor sales performance, identify and communicate trends, and support or arrange corrective actions when needed.
- Manage special pricing requests and price lists.
- Support the launch of new products in the territory and work with product management to develop new products that close gaps in the portfolio for distributors in the territory.
- Support and develop promotional campaigns & events, sales strategies and marketing efforts to drive sales.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management, and conduct market analysis of assigned area sales data to ensure alignment with targets and KPIs.
- Track competitor activities to keep up to date with market trends, and report trends and requirements to product management.
- Have in-depth knowledge of the tire portfolio and be able to effectively communicate product benefits.
- Have knowledge of OHT applications, ideally agri, mining and construction.
Location
You will be based in Germany, working from a home office, ideally located in North or Central Germany.
Your qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related commercial or technical field.
- Relevant experience, currently working with OHT tires or agricultural and industrial machinery.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of sales experience in Germany.
- Relevant experience in an international environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and good communication skills.
- A high degree of self-motivation and a result-oriented mentality.
- Enthusiastic and positive thinking; you think in solutions, not in problems.
- Good business analysis and Excel skills.
- Able to communicate in English & German (an additional European language is a plus).
- Willingness to travel throughout the region for more than 50% of the time (3 to 4 days per week).
- You are already based in North or Central Germany.
