Do you enjoy closing complex, bespoke B2B deals with enterprise and key accounts across sectors and time zones? Would you like to be the specialist point of expertise within a leading global copyright licensing organization, working hybrid from a new international hub in Rome? Then this Global Sales Account Manager role may be the perfect opportunity for you.
About our client
Our client offers the legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe in more than 28 countries. Founded in the UK in 2004, they represent over 1,000 rights holders, including major Hollywood studios such as Disney, Universal and Paramount, as well as independent TV producers. They facilitate the legal public display of movies and TV programs by issuing Public Performance licenses to businesses and organizations worldwide. With a dedicated team of over 200 professionals, they are now further strengthening their established Italian office, which will serve as the central hub for their international team.
To consolidate their international operations, the company is establishing a centralized International division in Rome. A pivotal position in this new team is the Global Sales Account Manager: a senior, specialist sales role covering a specific and growing type of the business on a global basis. The focus is predominantly on enterprise and key accounts, with some smaller clients from time to time. This is a new role, reporting directly to the VP International & Digital Products. You will own this line of business globally: identifying opportunities, building relationships with customers and partners, structuring deals, and supporting the territory teams on these specific sales wherever they arise.
Your mission
To grow the business globally by being the specialist point of expertise on a specific type of licensing, by driving new business directly, and by enabling territory teams to identify and close these opportunities in their markets.
Global sales
- Own the global pipeline for this specific type of copyright licensing.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of enterprise and key accounts globally, with some smaller clients as they arise.
- Identify, develop and close new business directly with clients across sectors such as transport, healthcare, hospitality and other specialised environments.
- Structure and negotiate bespoke licence agreements, in coordination with other departments.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract and renewal.
Territory enablement
- Support the territory teams in their markets, acting as the specialist resource for this deal type.
- Train and brief country sales teams on how to identify and qualify opportunities.
Content and rights coordination
- Work with Studio Relations and rights holders to confirm content availability and clearance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and fulfilment.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecast and contract records in the CRM.
The ideal profile
- Senior sales professional with a strong track record of closing complex, bespoke B2B deals, ideally 7+ years in sales.
- Proven experience selling to and managing enterprise and key accounts.
- Experience in content licensing, digital media or technology sales is a strong advantage; alternatively, experience in tenders and bids across both public and private sectors.
- Comfortable owning an end-to-end sales cycle independently and carrying a commission-based target.
- Able to operate globally across time zones, cultures and sectors.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills; comfortable structuring non-standard deals.
- Fluent business English (C1/C2). Italian or other languages useful but not required.
- Self-directed, entrepreneurial, and comfortable being the sole specialist on a niche line of business.
What they offer
- A permanent contract (CCNL Commercio).
- EUR 65,000 gross per year (paid over 14 months) plus sales commission.
- Meal vouchers, company laptop and phone.
- A hybrid set-up: 3 days in the office in Formello (Rome area, a car is required to travel to the office) and 2 days from home.
- A genuine international remit, with exposure across Europe, APAC and beyond.
