Job description
Our client offers the legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe in more than 28 countries. This is a senior commercial leadership role at the heart of our client's international growth plan. You will be part of the brand new Central team based at their office in Rome, Italy. As Sales Director, Blanket, your role will be central and you will own the performance of their recurring blanket licensing business across their international portfolio of territories. Your territory will include Spain, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Poland, South Africa, Hungary, Austria and their agent markets. A blanket license is an annual certificate that grants businesses and organizations legal permission to show copyrighted movies and TV programmes in public or commercial spaces. You will lead the international Blanket sales effort across these markets: setting targets, driving pipeline, embedding playbooks and coaching territory teams. You will work hand-in-hand with the VP International, the Chief of Staff and the Country Managers.
Your mission
To deliver consistent, predictable Blanket revenue growth across the international portfolio by deploying a disciplined, playbook-led sales operating model and by holding country teams to a clear, common standard of execution.
Sales leadership and team management
- Lead the Blanket sales function across the assigned international territories, with direct line and dotted-line oversight of country sales teams.
- Set, track and deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly Blanket targets and KPIs in each market.
- Coach, develop and hold accountable the territory sales leads, intervening directly where performance requires it.
Sales operating model and execution
- Own and continuously improve the international Blanket sales playbook: targeting, messaging, objection handling, vertical campaigns and sales process.
- Drive consistent CRM discipline and pipeline hygiene across all territories.
- Lead vertical strategy across key segments: corporate, hospitality, retail, education, healthcare and public sector.
- Provide accurate forecasts and management reporting to the VP International.
The ideal profile
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 4 to 5 years leading international or multi-country sales teams.
- Demonstrable track record of growing recurring B2B revenue in a managed-portfolio environment.
- Strong commercial discipline: forecasting, pipeline management, KPI ownership and CRM-driven decision-making.
- Able to travel up to 25%, primarily within Europe.
- Hands-on leadership style, comfortable getting close to the deal, the data and the team.
- Fluent business English (C1/C2). Italian, Spanish or another European language welcomed but not required.
- Background in licensing, IP, media, entertainment, software or another subscription or recurring B2B model is preferred.
What they offer
- A permanent contract (CCNL Commercio).
- A base salary of 80.000 to 85.000 euro (14 months) plus a 15% bonus on objectives.
- Meal vouchers, a company laptop and phone.
- A leadership role across a multi-country international portfolio with a clear plan.
- The opportunity to build, not just run, as the central international team is being assembled now.
- A genuine international remit, with exposure across Europe, APAC and beyond.
